Larry: December 20, 1985
Q: What does the cold war mean to you?
Larry: It was the end of the communism.
Q: When you were a child, did you hear people talking about nuclear weapons? How were the general feelings about these weapons?
Larry: If we ever got in a war in a couple of days we would die because of the weapons they had.
Q: Did you understand who the enemy was? How was the enemy typically portrayed in your society?
Larry: We were betrayed by the communism.
Q: Did your school have air-raids drills during this era? What were some of the procedures?
Larry: I’m not that old.
Q: When you were younger, did you ever hear about or see a bomb shelter? What supplies did people put in bomb shelters? Why? What feelings did you have about these bomb shelters?
Larry: Never seen bomb shelters.
Q: Were you ever afraid of nuclear weapons?
Larry: NO
